The Boys Mentoring program was created to help challenge the general “socially accepted” perception of what being a male in society really means. It aims to dispel the image of the tough, strong, non-crying male stereotype. The program has a focus on recreational activity throughout the activities in an effort to promote fair-play and teamwork, as well as allowing the participants the opportunity to share their own opinions and thoughts while considering those of their peers. It runs for 7 weeks. Each group will have 8 guys (grade 7-8) and 2 mentors.
